Milton Youth Arrested for Knife-Point Robbery

On October 9th shortly after 11:00pm a Milton woman was robbed at knife-point in her driveway by an unknown assailant as she arrived at her residence.   The masked assailant stole a large sum of cash from the victim before fleeing on foot.  The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Halton Police uniformed and K-9 officers responded to the scene. Police Services Dog "JAX" tracked to a residence several blocks away and a preliminary investigation led to the identification of a person of interest.

On October 10th, the One District Criminal Investigation Bureau took over the case at which time a 13 year old male youth from Milton was confirmed to be the person responsible for the robbery.

The male youth (who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act) was arrested in the evening hours of October 10th and a search of his residence was conducted.   During this search several items were seized by police as evidence.

At the conclusion of the investigation the youth was charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Wear Disguise with intent
  • Utter Threats
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
