*Updated Information* Vehicle into Lake Ontario



The Halton Regional Police Service has concluded their ground search in the area where a motor vehicle was driven through a guard rail and into Lake Ontario earlier this morning. The body of a deceased male who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the collision has been located near the scene of the crash. The twenty-two year old male who is believed to have been operating the car remains in custody. There are no other persons believed to have been occupying the vehicle at the time of the collision. The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit will be assuming carriage of the investigation from this point onwards.

A media relations officer is still at the scene addressing members of the media, but any inquiries made subsequent to police clearing the scene of the collision should be directed to the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
