Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

On December 17, 2018, just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Main Street East and Elizabeth Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Syed Gilani (28) of Milton was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On December 17, 2018, just before 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Colonel William Parkway and Stocksbridge Avenue in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Glenn Lachowiez (44) of Oakville was charged with driving while ability impaired and fail or refuse to provide sample.

On December 18, 2018, just before 6:30 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in area of Mountainside Drive and Maryvale Court in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Michael Hughes (58) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 19, 2018, just before 12:30 am, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in area of Derry Road and Ontario Street North in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Natalia Noskiv (40) of Mississauga was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 19, 2018, just before 1:00 am, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of James Snow Parkway and Main Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Richard Woon (58) of Milton was charged with charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 19, 2018, just after 1:00 am, Halton Police responded to a collision in the area of Guelph Line and Oxford Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Michael Jess (45) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 20, 2018, just before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Trafalgar Road and Cornwall Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Imants Malins (55) of Niagara on the Lake was charged with charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
