Charges Laid in Oakville Robbery

The Halton Regional Police Service has charged three male youths from Toronto in connection with an armed robbery investigation.

On January 23, 2019, four masked suspects entered the Econo Gas Bar located at 2383 Dundas Street West, Oakville.  One of the suspects brandished a firearm as all four males robbed the clerk of money and cigarettes, prior to leaving the area in a stolen vehicle.

The investigation has led to the identity of three of the involved parties.  A 16 year old youth was arrested on April 15, 2018, in the City of Toronto and transported to the Oakville station where he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.  Two other youths (16 & 17 years of age) are already in custody for unrelated matters.  These two youths are in the process of being transferred to Halton courts by way of Judge's Orders.

All three youths are facing the following charges:

  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Wear Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
  • Assault
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance.

The investigation is on-going to identify the fourth suspect involved in the robbery.
