Attempted Truck Theft in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating the attempted theft of a truck from the parking lot of Frontenac Public School in Burlington on Tuesday April 23, 2019.

The owner of the truck was at the school for an evening sporting event.  Shortly after 6:00 pm, he attended the school parking lot where he found two male suspects had gained access to his 2002 GMC pickup truck.  The two suspects fled on foot and were chased by the truck owner.  A witness observed what appeared to be a gun being hidden by the second suspect.  The truck owner was warned and he discontinued his pursuit.

The two suspects got into a 2005 gold coloured Pontiac Sunfire.  It was driven by a third suspect.  The vehicle fled the area and was last seen on eastbound on Pinedale Avenue.  This vehicle was reported stolen from Hamilton and was recovered by officers on April 24, 2019 in Oakville.

Suspect 1: Male, olive complexion, 25 – 30 years

Suspect 2: Male, olive complexion, 25 -40 years

Suspect 3: (Driver of Sunfire): Male, olive complexion, 25-30 years, long dark hair, scruffy facial hair.
