Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

On February 17, 2020, just before 6:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Speers Road and Dorval Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Benjamin Rideout (26) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 18, 2020, just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of South Service Road West and Fourth Line in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ann Isto (59) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 18, 2020, just before 9:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Walkers Line and Upper Middle Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Kyle Purdie (24) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired.

On February 20, 2020, just before 9:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Derry Road and Trudeau Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Jason Dhaliwal (22) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired.

On February 20, 2020, just before 8:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Tanners Drive and Queen Street in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Kevin Williams (47) of Halton Hills was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On February 21, 2020, just before 2:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Brant Street and Barlow Crescent in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Ian Settle (30) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
