Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On August 21, 2020, just after 9:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Guelph Line and Fairview Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Kamille Slanhof (36) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired.​

On August 22, 2020, just before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Guelph Street and Armstrong Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Shaquille Hall (26) of Windsor was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 22, 2020 just before 4:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Spruce Avenue and Appleby Line in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Michael Gray (65) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 23, 2020 just after 12:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Martha Street and James Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Erin Stewart (30) of Ottawa was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 23, 2020, just before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of James Snow Parkway and Highway 401 in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Gerald-John Viray (43) of Scarborough was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 23, 2020 just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Huntingdon Trail and Kingsway Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Chad Ramroop (19) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 24, 2020, just after 1:00 am, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Hyland Avenue and Highway 7 in Halton Hills. As a result of this initiative, Anisha Masrani (21) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
