The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid additional charges against the accused in this investigation.

As a result of the original media release (see below), police received information from an additional victim and began a separate investigation in April 2025.

On April 22, 2025, Masoud Abdulla (36) of Etobicoke was arrested in Oakville.

He has now been charged with the following additional offences:

  • Luring
  • Sexual Assault (3 counts)
  • Sexual Interference (2 counts)
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching
  • Make Child Pornography

Similar to the previous investigation, Abdulla used social media to initially connect with the 13-year-old female victim and fostered a relationship that lasted multiple years.

Abdulla communicated with the victim through Facebook, Snapchat and text messages. The accused picked the victim up away from her home so her guardians were unaware of the relationship. The offences took place throughout Halton, Niagara, and Toronto.

Investigators continue to believe there are additional victims and a photo of the accused is attached to this media release.

Abdulla also utilized a handle of “Anwar Nyce” and “tsmith9423” on social media. Anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized by him is asked to contact  the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.

Child Luring involves the sexual exploitation of a minor over the internet and is considered a serious crime in Canada.
