The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is pleased to share the results of the annual Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Enforcement Blitz that was held at Woodbine Mohawk Park on October 7 and 8 2025.

In August 2025, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), in partnership with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) Resource Protection Unit, launched a joint investigation into an organized group targeting the LCBO and other retailers across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Police Seek to Identify Oakville Robbery Suspect

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) are requesting the public’s assistance to identify a suspect who robbed a convenience store in Oakville.
On September 11, 2025, at approximately 1:00 pm the suspect entered the Circle K Convenience store located at 562 Trafalgar Road where he selected and concealed a quantity of grocery items from the store shelves. Halton Regional Police Service Announces Results of Project Safe Start 2025

As thousands of Halton students headed back to school earlier this month, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) ramped up its education and enforcement efforts through its 18th annual Project Safe Start campaign, with the goal of reminding community members of the ABC’s of road safety – Always Be Cautious.
Between September 2 and 12, a combined 2,252 charges were laid and 637 warnings were issued across the Halton region. Two of the most common offences were disobeying stop signs and speeding.

Oakville Theatre Targeted During Overnight Hours

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) are investigating two violent incidents targeting an Oakville theatre in the past week.
On September 25, 2025, at approximately 5:20 am two suspects attended Film.ca Cinemas located at 171 Speers Road, where they used a flammable liquid to ignite a fire at the exterior entrance doors of the theatre. The fire remained contained to the exterior with moderate damage sustained.
