On September 26, 2025 at approximately 6:50am, the Halton Regional Police Service attended Lower Base Line just east of Tremaine Road in the town of Milton for a serious motor vehicle collision.

A red Ford pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Lower Base Line when it left the roadway, colliding into a concrete retaining overpass wall.  The driver the of the pickup truck sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later by medical personal.

No other vehicles were believed to be involved in the incident.
