The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is proud to warmly share that we have clothed 300 underserved youth through our fifth annual Kozy Kids initiative, thanks to the generosity of our community members.
Our Community Services Unit distributed 300 new snowsuits to underserved youth across Halton who were identified with the support of local schools and community partners.
Since Kozy Kids’ launch in 2021, we have given a combined 1,508 youth in need a chance to enjoy the winter season, exceeding our 1,500-goal set for the 2025 campaign season.
“The generosity from our community members has been absolutely remarkable,” said Bruce Dickson, Inspector of the HRPS’ Community Services Unit.
“Breaking our 1,500-snowsuit goal during this year’s campaign shows us what’s possible when passion and purpose align. We’re thrilled that these youth are going to be given the chance to enjoy the winter weather ahead, and we couldn’t have made this achievement possible without our community. We are grateful to all those kind-hearted residents who donated this year and spread the message of Kozy Kids across the region.”
