***UPDATE*** April 30, 2025

The Halton Regional Police Service- Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the homicide of a male in his 50s that occurred in the city of Burlington on the evening of April 29.

Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a vehicle of interest in the incident (see attached photo). Investigators are looking to identify the occupants and vehicle which is described as a grey, newer model Honda Civic with dark tinted windows and black alloy rims.

The homicide occurred at approximately 8:30 pm in the parking lot of the Mandarin Restaurant located at 1881 Fairview Street which is in the area of Brant Street and Fairview Street.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage of Fairview Street and Brant Street between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm is asked to contact police.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a shooting that occurred in Burlington.

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm HRPS officers were called to the parking lot of the Mandarin Restaurant located at 1881 Fairview Street in response to an adult male who had been shot.

The victim has been transported to hospital and has been pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no known risk to public safety.

Police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspect descriptions to provide.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage of Fairview Street and Brant Street between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm is asked to contact police.
