**EMBARGO: Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.**
There is no doubt that the nature of policing presents many challenges; and as first responders, we often meet people on their worst days. Though each Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officer is always ready to respond, we know that a lot of the time, the problems we’re trying to fix go beyond what we alone can offer. In order to help people improve and ultimately transform their lives, they require long-term and specialized support that can only be achieved through the power of community partnerships.
To help ensure that at-risk youth and community members across Halton have an equal opportunity to thrive, we are proud to publicly announce the launch of the Halton Police Foundation – the first police foundation established in Ontario.
We hope you’ll join us for a celebratory press conference which will shed more light on what inspired the Foundation’s launch, how the Foundation will achieve its mission, the many ways members of the public can donate to help those in Halton who need our collective support the most, and announce the Foundation’s first major gift.
