The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest after an attempted carjacking at the Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills.

On Saturday June 7, 2025, at approximately 5:45 pm the victim returned to his vehicle on the fourth floor of the parking garage after shopping at the mall. Moments after sitting down in the driver’s seat, a male suspect opened the car door and began hitting and choking the victim and attempting to drag him out of the driver’s seat. No weapons were used by the suspect.

The driver resisted, and a group of witnesses also came to the aid of the victim, causing the suspect to flee. The driver did not suffer any serious injuries. Police attended the scene and located and arrested the suspect on foot not far from the mall.

25-year-old Tyler Tuck of Mississauga has been charged with one count of Robbery.

Tuck was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
