
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a late-night shooting that occurred in Georgetown.
On October 29, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police received a 911 call after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area of Tenth Line and River Drive in Georgetown.
Officers responded quickly and located evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place. However, no victims or suspects were located at the scene.
A short time later, police were notified that two victims had attended a nearby hospital. Both victims sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.
The HRPS Major Crime Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
Investigators are seeking dash cam footage from drivers who were in the area of Tenth Line and River Drive between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the evening of October 29.
