The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest in connection with a break and enter and a pair of vehicle thefts in Oakville.
On Thursday June 19, at approximately 3:15 am multiple suspects attended and broke into a home on Ribble Crescent, taking the keys to two luxury vehicles parked in the driveway while the residents slept.
A few hours later, an HRPS officer located a suspicious vehicle and a group of males wearing masks parked at a townhouse complex on Sheridan Garden Drive.
The suspects spotted police and attempted to flee the scene, colliding with the marked police cruiser. The suspects then fled on foot. No persons were injured in the collision. The HRPS officer on scene chased the suspects on foot and was able to arrest one of the males.
A search of the suspect’s vehicle located evidence linking the males to the break-in and vehicle thefts on Ribble Crescent. The two stolen vehicles from Ribble Crescent have not been recovered by police.

- Break and Enter
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5k
