The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) – Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect responsible for groping a teenager in Milton.

On Friday, May 31, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., the suspect was walking along the pathway near Child’s Drive and Ledwith Drive in Milton when he approached a 15-year-old female walking her dog. The suspect engaged the female in conversation before grabbing her and forcefully kissing her multiple times on the cheek without her consent.

The female did not suffer any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Male, tanned skin, between 70 and 80 years old, unshaven
  • Short spikey grey/silver hair, bushy grey eyebrows with a noticeable mole on his left cheek
  • Wearing a blue button-up shirt and possibly shorts
  • Walks with a noticeable limp
  • Spoke with an Italian accent

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.

There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
