Update:
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has classified the suspicious death of a man found on March 22, 2025, in Oakville as a homicide.
The victim, 43-year-old Baljeet ‘Bally’ Toki of Oakville (pictured below), was located inside Montagio Custom Tailoring on Lakeshore Road.
There is no known threat to public safety.
The HRPS Major Crime Bureau is leading the investigation into his death and are urging anyone with information to come forward. HRPS officers are currently canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video between the times of 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on March 22. Police are especially seeking video footage from the area between Trafalgar Road and Navy Street, north of William Street and south of Randall Street. They are also requesting anyone who was driving on Trafalgar Road between Lakeshore and Dundas Street, and may have dashcam video, to contact them.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Major Crime Bureau is investigating a suspicious death in Oakville.
On Saturday March 22, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm, police were contacted after a deceased adult male was located in a building in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Navy Street in Oakville.
Police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspect descriptions to provide.
Lakeshore Road East is closed between Navy Street and Thomas Street as police continue to investigate. The closure is expected to remain in place until Sunday morning.
Anyone who may have dash cam footage of Lakeshore Road East between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:30 pm is asked to contact police.
