On Monday March 25 2024, at approximately midnight, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a home invasion in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville. During the home invasion a resident was assaulted with the suspects fleeing the area in a white BMW BX5 SUV. The SUV eventually entered Bronte Creek Provincial Park and collided with a wooden post. Two suspects were taken into custody by HRPS, one suspect was identified as Jaheim Turner (21), of Mississauga (See media release here).

As a result of the Oakville home invasion Turner was held in custody and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

As the investigation continued HRPS investigative units were able to link Turner with an earlier home invasion that had occurred on March 21 2024, in the area of Clark Boulevard and Lancaster Boulevard in Milton. During this occurrence a resident was directed at gunpoint into his own truck which was driven a short distance away before the resident was told to get out of the vehicle. As a result of investigation into the Milton home invasion, on April 15 2024, the HRPS was able to charge the accused with a further 8 criminal offences.

Jaheim Turner (21), of Mississauga, has been charged with the following (Photo attached):

  • Break and Enter
  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Point a Firearm
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
  • Kidnapping with a Firearm
  • Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

Turner has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

HRPS is also appealing to the public in an effort to identify other suspects that may be involved in these incidents.
