On April 2, 2024, at approximately 2:15 pm the Halton Regional Police Service responded to the Milton Go station, located at 780 Main Street East, in response to a report of a male attempting to steal vehicles parked within the Go lot. The male’s efforts were interrupted by witnesses on scene who contacted police. Police attended locating the male suspect a short distance away. Upon arrest the male was found to be in possession of a large and easily accessible kitchen knife. The knife was not used during the occurrence and no physical injuries were sustained.

As a result of the investigation Jesse ZARGER (25), of Milton, has been charged with the following:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle (2 Counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

At the time of the offences ZARGER was on five different forms of release stemming from previous charges.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
