The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest following a sexual assault investigation in Milton.

On May 29, 2024, the HRPS arrested 26-year-old Avery Hill of Milton. He has been charged with the following:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Assault
  • Forcible Confinement

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

The adult female victim in this occurrence arranged to meet the accused via a dating app and investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims. A photo of Avery Hill has been attached to this media release.

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated.  A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.

There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault.  This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
