The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in a hit and run collision investigation.

On Wednesday December 21, 2022, between 5:00 pm and 5:20 pm a male victim and his dog were struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at the intersection of Taunton Road and Oak Park Boulevard in Oakville. The vehicle did not stop at the scene and has not been located.

The male suffered injuries that were treated in hospital and the dog was also injured and fled from the scene. The dog has since been located and returned to its owner.

The suspect was driving a white SUV and described as a male 35 to 45 years of age with an unshaven beard.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage in the area of the collision between the hours of 5:00 pm and 5:20 pm on December 21, 2022, to contact police.
