The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid charges against three drivers after a stunt driving incident on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville.

On Thursday September 21, 2023, at approximately 11 pm a group of motorcycles and cars slowed and eventually stopped traffic on the westbound QEW near Ford Drive. The vehicles then performed stunt driving manoeuvres by travelling at high speeds and weaving through traffic and onto the shoulder of the road. The group then exited the QEW in Burlington.

Through investigation police were able to identify the vehicles and drivers.

A 22-year-old male of Oakville, and two 22-year-old males of Burlington have been charges with Stunt Driving and Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

As a result of the Stunt Driving charges, all three accused were given a 30 day licence suspension and their vehicles (two motorcycles and one car) were impounded for 14 days.
