Original Release:

On Monday March 25, 2024, at approximately midnight, The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a home invasion in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line, Oakville. Two suspects gained entry while the third waited in a vehicle outside the residence. Suspects entered the residence by breaking the front door glass then confronted the homeowner demanding money and jewelry. A black hand gun was seen and an occupant of the home was struck on the head before the suspects fled the area in a white BMW BX5 SUV. The victim was transported to hospital with minor physical injuries.

Shortly after leaving the scene HRPS officers observed the suspect vehicle on Upper Middle Road where it made its way into Bronte Creek Provincial Park. There the suspect vehicle collided with a wooden post with the suspects attempting to flee on foot. HRPS Tactical and K9 Officers, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were deployed with two suspects taken into custody after 2 am. The third suspect is currently outstanding. Investigation determined the white BMW to be stolen out of Toronto.

The investigation is currently ongoing and a follow up release will be provided upon completion of the investigation.
