Arrest Made After $150k Fraud Investigation

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Financial Crimes Unit has made an arrest and laid multiple charges after an investigation into a fraud worth more than $150,000.
In March of 2024, the HRPS was contacted after a series of fraudulent withdraws (totalling $156,000) from an account at an HSBC branch in Burlington. Police attended, arrested and charged the individual making the withdraws at that time.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest in connection with a break and enter and a pair of vehicle thefts in Oakville.
On Thursday June 19, at approximately 3:15 am multiple suspects attended and broke into a home on Ribble Crescent, taking the keys to two luxury vehicles parked in the driveway while the residents slept.

Community Mailbox Break-ins

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a spike in break and enters that are occurring at community mailboxes (see attached photo) across the region.
The largest increase has been seen in Burlington with mailboxes in the Millcroft and Orchard neighbourhoods targeted, however break-ins have been seen other neighbourhoods in Burlington as well as Oakville and Milton.

On May 14, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., the suspect entered Reitmans, located at 4517 Dundas Street in Burlington. She selected almost $300 in clothing and left without making any attempt to pay.
Suspect: Female, White, dressed in all black, and carrying a black purse.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a sexual assault that took place on the Sixteen Mile Creek Heritage Trail near Skyvalley Crescent in Oakville.
On June 4, at approximately 5:30 pm the adult female victim was walking the trail system alone when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
