As a result of COVID-19, the Chorus has suspended their activities. Please check back soon for updates.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Chorus attends many community festivals, police events, and fundraising concerts which benefit local charities in Halton and the Greater Toronto Area. The Chorus also performs at HRPS functions to acknowledge volunteers and members of the HRPS for their service to the community with long-service or bravery awards.

The Chorus rehearses at the HRPS Headquarters. Any interested member of the community with a love of singing and a desire to serve the community is encouraged to contact us to inquire about joining.

History of the HRPS Chorus

The HRPS Chorus formed in 1984 with the mission of spreading holiday cheer to residents of seniors' homes and long-term care facilities in the Halton Region. The Chorus has continued to serve the communities of Halton Region, the Greater Toronto Area, and beyond ever since.

The Director of the Chorus, Heide Lang, and Accompanist, Natalie Artemus-Polak, are both accomplished music educators and together, they have helped create a world-class Chorus in Halton Region.

Ontario Association of Police Choruses

As a member of the Ontario Association of Police Choruses, the Chorus forms part of the massed police chorus that participates annually in the Provincial and National Police Memorial Services in Toronto and Ottawa. The Chorus also regularly attends the annual Memorial Service for fallen police officers in Cleveland, Ohio.
