Our Media Relations Officers are the official spokespersons for the Halton Regional Police Service and act as the primary liaisons between the police service and the media.
Communications for emergency and major incidents
Whenever feasible, the Halton Regional Police Service will provide information to the public on emergencies and major incidents. Such information is released through direct notification to media agencies and postings to our website and Twitter account. If necessary, the information will include alert or warning messages and instructions.
The immediate release of information will be dependent on public, victim and officer safety concerns as well as investigative integrity.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is appealing for information after a home was severely vandalized in Oakville.
On July 22, 2022, police were called to a house located at the intersection of Third Line and Hixon Street. Residents of the home had returned from a night away to find their entire house flooded and their property vandalized.

Fatal Collision - 4th Line Milton

On Tuesday July 26, 2022, shortly after 9:00 pm, a 32 year old Mississauga resident was driving his BMW SUV northbound on 4th Line, south of Britannia Road. He lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

On July 25, 2022, at approximately 12:45 pm the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a robbery at the Pharmasave located at 21 Main Street North in Acton.
