On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at approximately 6:30am, two male suspects attended a residence on Stillwater Crescent in Burlington. The two male suspects broke into the residence through an unlocked window. Items stolen include tools (mixing drills, batteries, etc.) with an approximate value of $2,000.00.
Suspect 1: Male, 5'7 - 5'10, 170 - 180lbs, wearing a blue and white jacket, white shorts, black shoes and a medical mask.

On June 14 and 15, 2022, members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) - District Response Units and Traffic Services held a multi-agency commercial vehicle inspection campaign in Oakville.
HRPS officers were joined by Commercial Motor Vehicle inspectors from the Waterloo Regional Police Service, OPP (West Region), and York Regional Police Service.
As a result of the campaign the following results were obtained:
- 54 Commercial motor vehicle inspections
- 40 Vehicles/combinations...

Three suspects responsible for carjackings that took place in Oakville on February 26, and March 30, 2022 have been arrested.
The March 30 carjacking also involved a shooting and a media release outlining details of that incident is available on our website here.
After the two Oakville carjackings, investigators from the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) - 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) worked alongside officers from several partnering police services which resulted in two arrests.

In April of this year, The Halton Regional Police Service - Internet Child Exploitation Unit (I.C.E.) commenced an investigation into a person that was sharing child sexual abuse material.
As a result of this investigation Carmen Gassi (70) of Oakville was arrested on June 10, 2022 and charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography (2 counts)
- Making Child Pornography Available
Gassi was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
