Police Searching for Man Convicted in Human Trafficking Investigation

Update:
On February 22, 2024 Ryan Gentles was arrested by Halton Regional Police Service. Gentles had previously been released on bail and is awaiting a sentencing hearing for human trafficking charges which he previously pled guilty to. Gentles has now been charged with the following:
Fail to Comply with Release Order (3 Counts)
Fail to Comply with Judicial Non-Communication Order
Gentles is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest and laid charges in relation to a sexual assault that occurred at Oakville Place mall.
On Monday, February 12, 2024, Paul Swanson (62) of Brampton was arrested. He has been charged with the following:
- Committing an Indecent Act;
- Sexual Assault (2 counts);
- Sexual Interference (2 counts);
- Failing to Comply with Probation.
Swanson is being held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.

HRPS Expands Lifesaving Naloxone Kit Distribution Program

As part of its ongoing response to the opioid crisis facing Halton and beyond, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is further expanding its lifesaving naloxone kit distribution program to include select frontline officers and support personnel who work closely with those at risk of drug poisoning.

Traffic Stop in Oakville Leads to Gun Seizure and Arrest

Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers have seized a handgun gun and counterfeit cash after a traffic stop in Oakville.
On January 31, 2024, at approx. 2:30 am HRPS officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Dundas Street West and Proudfoot Trail in Oakville. Investigation at the scene determined the driver of the vehicle to a prohibited driver and in breach of a court order. Police also located a handgun and a large quantity of counterfeit currency inside the vehicle.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance is locating a missing Burlington man.
Antonino “Nino” Ingarra (42) of Burlington was last seen on December 24, 2023, in the area of New Street and Guelph Line.
