Theft of three week old donkey - Halton Hills

For further clarification, while the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) did receive a third party complaint alleging a donkey was stolen, police have not yet made contact with the owner of the donkey or received confirmation of the theft. Until such time as the owner reports the theft to police, the HRPS is unable to proceed with a formal investigation and cannot accommodate media requests for interviews.

The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating the theft of a three-week-old miniature donkey from a farm in the Halton Hills area.

Sometime between Thursday August 19th to Friday August 20th 2021, the young donkey named "Sebastian" was taken from the owner's farm by unknown person(s). 

The owners of the donkey are pleading for Sebastian's return saying that the young animal was still nursing from its mother and is too young to be separated. 

The donkey has no discernible markings. 

Police are appealing for anyone who may have knowledge of the whereabouts of the animal or any information regarding this theft to contact Halton Regional Police Service - #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext 2415 or 2416
