Two Additional Incidents of Pride Flag Thefts in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the theft of two Pride flags from neighbouring residences in Burlington. The thefts took place on June 9, 2021, at approx. 12: 15 am.

The thefts occurred in a neighbourhood in northwest Burlington.

Images of the suspect (obtained through CCTV surveillance footage) are attached to this media release and are available on our website.  

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau - Detective John McMullan at 905 825-4777 ext. 2343 or ext. 2316.

This latest theft of Pride flags comes just days after an earlier theft from a residence in southeast Burlington on Friday June 4, 2021 (see previous media release issued on June 8, 2021).

Hate and division have no place in Halton and we are committed to fully investigating these incidents and identifying the individual(s) responsible.
