On April 16, 2021, the Government of Ontario announced new restrictions, including a two-week extension of the current province-wide shutdown, in order to curb the concerning transmission rates of COVID-19. The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating an armed robbery which occurred on Friday April 16th, 2021 at approximately 5:00 pm , at the Holly Pharmacy situated at 611 Holly Ave, Milton.
Three suspects entered the pharmacy, two suspects brandished knives and demanded narcotics. The suspects stole a quantity of pharmaceutical narcotics and cash from the safe and fled the area in a dark grey Ford Explorer.
