At approximately 4:30 PM on Friday July 23, 2021, a local adult resident was operating a 2014 Jeep Patriot northbound on Guelph Line north of highway 401. The driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the southbound traffic lane and collided with a tree, west of the roadway.

On Friday July 23 rd , 2021 at approximately 5:38am, Halton Regional Police were dispatched to the railway tracks in the area of King Road and Enfield Road in the City of Burlington. A 911 call was received that a pedestrian had been struck by a Go Transit train.

Emergency Services attended the scene and confirmed that an adult male had been struck and killed by an eastbound train. The Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility...

Earlier this morning (July 21) at approximately 1:15 am the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a fire at a commercial property in the area of Lower Base Line and Fifth Line in Milton.
Fifth Line has reopened and there are no longer any traffic closures associated with this occurrence.
No persons were injured in the fire and the cause is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal.
